MD4 Reading is a research based platform that was designed to build prerequisite reading skills and builds on over twenty years of experience diagnosing and treating struggling readers one on one. 

There is nothing more frustrating for a child and a teacher than failing to successfully teach that child to read. Unfortunately, this happens to many children because the student lacks one or more cognitive or phonological skill that are critical to the reading process and the teacher lacks the tools to give that skill to the child. In those cases, no matter how talented or dedicated the teacher is, the child will struggle. We at MD4 Reading strive to provide teacher with the tools necessary to provide struggling readers with all the skills they lack and show that student how to use those skills to become a fluent reader all without disrupting the existing classroom model.

Our Roots

MD4Reading began as an offshoot of the Reading and Writing Institute which operated in Atlanta GA. for twenty years diagnosing and remediating dyslexics in a one on one therapy environment. The Institute helped thousands of individuals obtain an accurate diagnosis of their specific reading problems and provided those individuals with research based educational therapy to eliminate their condition.  The Reading & Writing Institute's name reflects its commitment to struggling readers and writers of all ages.

MD4Reading is fortunate to have been able to draw on the same dedicated and talented team while working on the development of MD4 Reading and transitioning to digital therapy. This team includes psychologists, board-certified art therapists, educators, video game technologists, and business people.
